  • Heat can promote better blood circulation, hence restore movement to injured tissue. Warmth can also reduce joint stiffness, pain and muscle spasms.
  • Heat pads have a role in easing pain from both acute and chronic injuries such as sprains, strains, muscle spasms and arthritis.
  • Heat helps soothe stiff joints and relax muscles. Cold helps numb sharp pain and reduce inflammation.
  • Apply heat for 15 to 20mins at a time. Repeat if necessary.
  • Heat therapy would be more suitable in treating sore muscles.
  • Applying heat to an inflamed area will dilate the blood vessels, promote blood flow and help to relax sore and tightened muscles.
  • Heat therapy is usually effective at treating chronic muscle pain or sore joints caused by arthritis too.
  • Applying heat to affected areas increases the blood flow of oxygen and nutrients to the muscles, helping to heal the damaged tissues.

  1. Place your pillow on a clean and dry plate that is microwavable. Always avoid using plates made out of plastic;
  2. Place the plate into the microwave. Microwave with 30 seconds interval. Feel the pillow and continue to microwave till it reaches the heat level you desire; and
  3. Place the heated pillow on your desired body area and enjoy!

 

Note : As every microwave has different heat wave, always carefully test on a small area of your skin to reconfirm the heat level. If its too hot, place it aside to cool down or wrap a cloth over before using.
