FAQs – Happy Mats

  1. You can machine wash or hand wash.
  2. When machine wash, you can spin dry at 1400rpm.
  3. Hang to dry. Do not use dryer.
  4. Do not use bleach/softener.
  5. Cold wash only.
  6. You can use normal detergent and laundry sanitizer if preferred.
The mats are clean, so it is up to individual preference. However, the absorbency is better after the first wash.
It depends very much on the usage and how you maintain it (ie. washing). If you follow through the washing instructions, it should last for a few years. If the absorbency is reduced and not performing to your expectations, please change to a new piece.
Most waterproof mats does not absorb liquid, so liquid stays on top creating a mess until you wipe it off. Happy Mats absorb liquid quickly and does not seep through the other side. In comparison, Happy Mats feel cooler and bring more comfort.
It depends on the size of the mat you have, our small size mat can hold about 400ml of liquid. An average adult urine output is about 800ml per 12 hours. Hence, buying the correct size is important. For example, we would suggest an adult to go for small size and above if it is meant for bed use.
  • We recommend small size and above; depending on the bed size and the mobility of the elderly.
  • Small size is a good coverage for lower back while the coverage for medium and large is wider.
  • For wheelchair and chair, extra small size should be good enough.
  • For baby cots, we recommend small size
  • For diaper changing purpose, we recommend extra small size.
  • For potty training at night with your toddlers, we recommend small or medium size mats
  • If you sleep with your toddler on a king or queen size bed, we recommend our large size mat.

For sofas, it depends on the size of the sofa, we recommend medium and large size mat, please measure your sofa.

Our mats stay well on fabric sofa as the underside material creates an anti-slip against fabric.

We recommend medium size but please note there are many sizes of single beds. Our medium size can usually cover a standard single size mattress top.
